Liquid Filter Bag Pack Quantity: Align Pieces, Packs and Cartons
Write the number of individual filter bags as well as the number of packs or cartons on a purchase order. “Ten boxes” is not a complete quantity unless both buyer and supplier agree what each box contains. The same check is needed when comparing quoted prices.
For an INCEFILTER liquid filter bag enquiry, define the required bag specification first, then ask the supplier to confirm the proposed packaging hierarchy. No pack size in this article is a statement of INCEFILTER’s standard supply quantity.
Give every packaging level a defined count
Packaging terminology distinguishes individual units, inner packs and shipping cases. For procurement purposes, record how many units sit inside the next level. A carton count can then be reconciled to a piece count without guessing.
| Order field | What to state |
|---|---|
| Individual item | One filter bag of the exact approved product code |
| Inner pack | Number of individual bags, if an inner pack is used |
| Shipping carton | Packs per carton and total bags per carton |
| Total order | Required pieces, with full and partial cartons identified |
| Price basis | Currency and price per piece, pack or carton |
Reconcile the arithmetic before comparing prices
In a hypothetical arrangement, each inner pack contains 10 bags and each carton contains four packs. One carton therefore holds 40 bags. An order for 12 full cartons contains 480 bags. An instruction for “12 packs” would instead mean 120 bags.
If the buyer needs 500 bags, the parties must agree how the remaining 20 pieces will be supplied, or whether the order quantity will change. Do not silently round the order up or down. Partial-carton acceptance and minimum order quantities are commercial details to confirm with the supplier.
To compare a price per carton with a price per piece, divide the carton price by its confirmed piece count. Keep freight, taxes and other inclusions on the same basis before comparing totals. This normalization compares quoted units; it does not establish the operating value of the bags.
Keep different specifications on different lines
Do not combine bags with different materials, micron ratings, dimensions or ring designs into one ambiguous “mixed filters” line. Identify the quantity of each approved product code. If mixed cartons are proposed, request a carton-level packing list showing their contents.
Agree whether one carton may contain more than one production lot and how each lot will be identified. The filter bag lot-traceability guide addresses that record separately. Packaging quantity does not prove cleanliness, sterility or any regulatory qualification.
Connect receiving checks to the approved order
Retain the supplier’s confirmed packing arrangement with the order. At receipt, reconcile carton labels, the packing list and the required piece counts under your agreed inspection plan. Record shortages, mixed specifications or damaged packaging for review before releasing affected stock.
For purchasing decisions based on actual use, the cost-per-accepted-volume trial guide complements this quantity check. A lower price per bag does not, by itself, demonstrate a lower process cost.
Request an INCEFILTER filter bag quotation with product specifications, quantities in pieces, preferred packing and delivery destination. Ask the quotation to state both pack counts and the price unit explicitly.
